Cookie Policy

This page explains how edgebox.help uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage. We keep the list deliberately short: the site works fully even if you reject everything optional.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something between visits — a session, a preference, a consent choice. Local storage works similarly but never leaves your device automatically.
2. What we actually use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Strictly necessary | Keeps your session while you browse and protects the enquiry form against forgery | Until the browser closes |
| ebPrivacyChoice | Strictly necessary (local storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so we stop asking | Until you clear it |
| Analytics (only if accepted) | Optional | Anonymous page-view counts that tell us which guides help students most | Up to 13 months |
3. Changing your mind
Use the round settings button in the lower-left corner of any page to reopen the consent banner and switch your choice. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings — the banner will simply appear again on your next visit.
4. Third parties
Font files are served by Google Fonts; requesting a font shares your IP address with Google as any web request does, but no cookie is set by that service on this site. We embed no social-media widgets or advertising trackers.
